Macon County Divorce Records

Macon County divorce records are part of the county's family law case records. Maintained by the Circuit Court, these records document the filings, proceedings, and judgments associated with a divorce.

In accordance with 705 ILCS 105, court records, of which a divorce record is one, are accessible to the public. However, certain records or information may be restricted from public disclosure. The Macon County Circuit Court provides divorce records for public inspection.

Per 705 ILCS 105/14, after a judgment for dissolution of a marriage is entered, the court clerk completes a form prescribed by the Illinois Department of Public Health and forwards it to the department. The department issues divorce verifications to individuals seeking confirmation of a divorce.
